Looking to buy new HDTV? LED TV vs. LCD TV?
I am looking to get a new tv. I have looked at both the LED and LCD. I know the LED is a type of LCD tv. Price is not really a concern. I watch mostly sports and a movie every now and then. And before you say go with Plasma, I know they are better for fast pace things like sports but the glass screen will have too much glare in the room it is going in as I have alot of natural light. So I am looking for the pros and cons of both the LED and LCD. And if it is worth the extra money for the LED as far as picture quality and longevity is concerned?
yeah yeah everything he said is true, but in my personal opinion the LED technology is too new and still has bugs that need to be worked out. The samsung that he was obviously talking about is way too bright and washes colors out more so than the LG or Sharp. I personally would recommend a regular LCD with the 240hz which I think is more important than the extra energy saving and brightness that the LED has. Brighter isn’t better it washes your colors out more. your regular LCd is plenty bright and a 52″-55″ 240HZ LG,Sony, or Samsung are all just around $2000 where as the LED 120Hz are starting around $2600. i think people need to wait for them to perfect LED
