Sony Bravia troubleshoot?
My sony 42″ Bravia lcd tv wont power on. I have green led light and logo illumination and the green light restarts after a while, but no picture or sound.
OK, so if the light comes on and logo illuminates then it IS powering on.
You have a no picture/sound issue.
Are you coming through a cable box or antenna?
it may be a signal issue
Are you connected HDMI or composite cable?
it may be an interface issue with the HDMI port.
Have you tried a different device?
see if your DVD player displays or if you can get digital over-air stations
There are a lot of variables here so try to eliminate some and then maybe I can get you a better guess at what the problem is.
