connection to an HDTV Samsung Xbox360?

I have a 32 inch Samsung HDTV, and I am trying to connect my Xbox to the TV all possible means. My quality sucks now because I normally connect the cords through an RF modulator. I tried plugging the cord directly from the Xbox HD output on the back of the TV, but it isn't coming on channel 3. can someone please help me solve this problem? I finally found a way to connect the TV using a regular yellow Striped and white red and agreements, but couldnt I find the correct input for HD. Maybe I will continue to work. Thank you! Just TV is usually much better than an RF modulator!

Firstly are you using an HDMI cable? Thats the one with the flat end. Or are you using of A / V cables? These are the red, yellow, white cable. You basically have to put your TV, you connect the Xbox to the TV. If it says HDMI 1 or 2, then set TV to this question. If it says A / V or AUX, you must change the input on your TV for that using the TV remote. Channel 3 is only used for RF analog signal, so forget that thats completely VCR and the old Nintendo systems.
